• Police Report Retrieval
A large portion of PCA's business is obtaining police reports for insurance claims. Most claim representatives use our secure, online Police Report Request Form to submit a request, then receive a confirmation e-mail for their files. PCA's continuously growing network of contacts and couriers help us deliver the report back to the claim representative, via e-mail as a .pdf (Adobe) file as soon as possible. We can obtain reports from anywhere in the United States or Canada.

Our goal is to secure the report the same day or the day after the report becomes available. There is an occasional problem, but we make every effort to have an exceptional turn around time. Should the request have the wrong police department on it, we will do some reasonable research at no additional charge in an effort to locate the report. Regardless of how many times we seek the report, there is no charge until we obtain the report. If we determine that there is no report, there is no charge.

In some cases, a report is needed in a hurry and may be requested as a RUSH. If we can obtain it the same day or the next day, and go to unusual measures to secure the report, we then charge a higher fee for the report.

  • Scene Processing

PCA representatives take photos of the accident scene and submit printed images that include needed measurements and scene details on the actual image, and also submit the same images un-marked on a CD-ROM. Most jobs are completed using high-resolution (4 megapixel+) digital cameras which provide excellent images.

Photos are taken from several different angles to the accident, along with approach shots of the point of view for each person or vehicle involved. Sight distance, if any, is measured and noted, and various other aspects of the accident location which might affect liability, such as road widths and length of skid marks, etc., are taken into account and reported. Reports of traffic light sequences can also be provided on request.

On "rush" jobs, some images of the scene can usually be delivered via e-mail within 2 days of acceptance of the assignment, with the complete job usually being submitted within a week.

Panoramic images of the entire intersection or scene area are also available on most jobs. They are generated by merging several images in a special computer program, giving an overall view of the area.

We now also offer (upon request) digital video of accident or theft scenes, or of statements/interviews of individuals. These can be delivered via DVD which can be played back on most computers.

Computer aided drawings (CAD) are also available on most assignments, showing many details of the area with color coded measurements, vehicles, skids, approximate point of impact, etc. These are presented in 2D and also 3D models. This added dimension can offer views of objects (such as pedestrians and cars) in likely positions before, during and after a crash, which may assist in making claim decisions.

Our representatives can (upon request) canvass for witnesses at a scene, and gather witness statements.

We cover the entire state of Tennessee and the adjoining areas of neighboring states.
